I believe in the complete inerrancy and authority of the Scripture. It is God-breathed and inspired by the Lord. The entire Word is Jesus-centric and revolves around the offering of His Son on the cross for the propitiation of our sins as believers — past, present, and future.
Jesus was born of a virgin, entirely divine, putting on flesh — simultaneously fully human — condescending, and dwelling among us. He came and experienced everything that we experience as humans. He is our advocate and high priest who intercedes on our behalf to the Father.
He led a sin-free life while with us and taught and spread the Gospel. Even as He was tempted as we were, He also experienced all the struggles we deal with. He did all this while knowing His destiny would lead to and ultimately end with His being betrayed and condemned by the very people He came to save.
On the cross, after being tortured and mocked, He remained steadfast in His love for us — saying before death, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Upon dying He was “dead and buried.” Then on the third day He rose from death to life and dwelt among His disciples and other men for forty days so that “many would believe, yet some still doubted.” These accounts were widely documented by believers and unbelievers alike.
On the fortieth day He ascended to heaven to be at the right hand of the Father. I believe the abovementioned and also believe He will one day return in Glory, fulfilling the Scriptures and prophecies, to judge the wicked and bring all true believers into His bosom in His Kingdom.
